Amanda's Shower

Last week the Hansen side of the family celebrated this cute girl in the pink shirt's engagement. My mom, sisters and I threw a shower for my cousin Amanda. After the shower we had a family BBQ. Have you heard of Pinterest? Well if you haven't, you best be checking it out real soon. It seriously is the best way to store stuff that you.... well love that is. Mine is starting to fill up quite fast. I love that you can customize your own boards/categories and pin items you like in them. The best part of it all is that it automatically connects the source of where you found the image so you can go back for reference.

DIY: Kid's Journal

Check it out. After 10 days I decided I should blog again. I actually have been wanting to for the past few nights but have been super busy with things. Things such as apartment hunting and designing a CD cover for a client that is releasing his music in July.
Okay onto the kid's journal. I've been wanting to make something and I was looking on Liz's blog and saw this cute DIY art kit she made for her little girl for their trip. My little 4 year old niece is smart and knows already that traveling is no fun so what a better idea than to make her a mini journal/scrapbook she could make on her drive back home from visiting Grandma!

I did a lot of the same things as Liz. This is what is in my kit that I made for her:
1. Crayons
2. Journaling cards and tags from American Crafts.
3. Photos of her and me together.
4. Mixtape also known as washi tape.
5. This to That glue runner.
6. Stickers
7. AC Cardstock
8. Coloring pages from Crayola (they're free)
9. Patterned paper from Pebbles and American Crafts

I'm not sure how well it helped time go by on her trip home. Maybe her mom will tell me after reading this. :) It was super fast and easy to make! If I can do it, you can definitely do it.

June is a good month. I tell you. I can feel it. Oh what? You don't remember me? Well let me take you back the past couple of months and remind you of who I am. Let's rewind a couple months.

April:
-As much as I wanted to blog I had to realize blogging would have stressed me out and having finals and all.... not a good idea. So for the month of April I focused on school and came out with descent grades.

-Went home for Easter which was pretty much awesome.

May:
-I haven't done a whole lot, but it's exactly what I needed. A break that is. I have been hanging out with friends and relaxing. Yes relaxing. Never thought I would hear that word.

-For memorial weekend my friend Soleil (above in photo) invited me to go with her and Dillon to St. George for some fun. We went to Gunlock and watched the guys jump off the cliffs into the water and then we went to Red cliffs where we hiked up the canyon in the water where we could slide on the rocks into the pools of water. It was super fun! Then we enjoyed some skimboarding as well. Dillon sure did keep up busy. The photo above is pretty much the only one I got on the trip.

Now back to June.
There is a lot I want to do this month and a lot that has to be done. Lots of adventures will be happening this month and I hope that I can take photos to record them. I also have some goals in my mind, but if I want to accomplish them I'm going to have to write them down. That will probably be my next post since I am too tired to take time and finalize them right now. Definitely past my bed time.

Well it's good to be back in the blogging world. Hopefully you will be "seeing" me around more often. That is it for now.

I'm dreaming of a cherry on top kind of a Summer. You know what I mean? With lots of activities to keep me sane. While we were driving back from a trip, the roommates and I decided to come up with a list of 50 things to do this summer. A list that we want to do before we die going back to school and winter again. We now have something to look forward to do and not be bored this summer. As you can tell, we still don't have all 50 things as you can plainly see. Help us get there by leaving a comment and telling us what other things we can do.

But first off, I am lucky enough to have my niece over tonight to have a slumber party with me. We're enjoy watching Tangled and eating popcorn. We also painted her fingernails and toenails. It's so fun to have her in town.

It's Monday again. I can't believe another week has gone by. The faster these weeks go, the sooner I will be out of school. Yeah, that's right, 4 more weeks! This week is going to be super busy. My sisters and I have a craft fair coming up this Saturday in Evanston, WY. So if you for some reason happen to be in Evanston, WY, you should definitely stop by. It would be great to see you there. On my list of "to dos" is to take some pictures of a few of the things that we have made recently. We have some new things to put in our booth so come check it out!

Obsessions

Today was a crappy good day. My friend Jordan and I found time in between classes to get us some frozen yogurt. It made us a little happier. Today I had Pistachio, Taro, Red Velvet cake batter, and Toasted Coconut topped with a tid bit of brownie bites, cookie dough, kiwi, strawberry, and mango. I couldn't choose and they all made me happy. Good thing I have been going to the gym lately.

Here are a few of my recent obsessions:

1. Loving frozen yogurt (particularly Yogurtland as you can plainly see)

2. Freshly ground peanut butter. (especially w/triscuits and honey)

3. Veronica Mars .... again

Dove or Bliss

Which one do you choose? I thought I bought a bag of Dove chocolates and then realized it was Hershey's Bliss. Did I know that Hershey's made something like Dove? No. They were good but not near as good as the creamy Dove chocolates and they don't even have the cool sayings on the inside of the wrapper. A total rip off. :) Here are a few of the ones that I really liked from the chocolates my parents gave me for Valentine's day. I like to think that my parents knew what the wrappers said, so I'm taking it as if my parents said this to me.

Logo Revamp

Hello there! I'm trying really hard to be a better blogger because I love the idea of blogging. I just don't have very many interesting things to blog about. Just recently I thought I would try out a new logo for our Three Sisters. We are still alive if you are wondering. We have a show coming up on April 3rd in Evanston, WY. More details on that later. Okay back on track.

Super Bowl

I'm not much into the whole football scene, but after watching a few games this past season I think I have come to enjoy it a little more. Maybe it's a social thing, I don't know. My friend Darryl invited me over for the Super Bowl and a BBQ. Since I know he can make some mean hamburgers, I couldn't say no. Wondering what that white oozing stuff is coming out of those burgers? You guessed right, stuffed with cream cheese and Jalepenos.

Excited, anxious, nervous, or scared? I didn't know how I should feel about what was about to happen.
Sad to say I could not finish that burger. I had about a quarter of it left. Should I or shouldn't I be proud of eating that much? 'Twas good and was definitely the highlight of the Super Bowl. Oh and I did root for the Packers from the beginning because my sister told me to. :)

Yes I am still alive. I have a lot of stuff to blog about, but I haven't been taking any pictures so there won't be any posts. Sorry. :) Well we have been super busy at work with making samples for CHA that just happened this past weekend. It sounds like it was a pretty good one. It was a great excuse to have a party, not only because it was 1.11.11, but it was also my b-day. When does that ever happen? Pretty sure it happens once a year, but never will it be the same exact digit. Yeah I know November 11 will be the best ever, but I'm pretty sure 1.11.11 was the best day ever for me. Thanks to my family and friends for celebrating it with me. I didn't take as many photos as I hoped to. It was quite a busy day. To be honest with you, this was the only one I took. Darlene took a few so maybe I can try and still them from her.

Healthy Start

I bought this cookbook about a year ago and I love it! I kind of forgot about it and pulled it out last week and made a meal plan with Andi. It's great for students/single people. I love how the majority of the recipes are single servings-which is great for people like us. Most of the ingredients are what you eat on a daily basis. Just start buying the fat-free version of things instead. It's all about portions as well.

Yum Yum Brownie Muffins: (I make them into cookies instead)

About 45 calories per cookie. Not too shabby.

Ingredients:
1 box devil's food cake mix (about 18 oz)
One 15-ounce can pure pumpkin

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400
Mix the 2 ingredients together. Don't add anything else that may be mentioned on the box, like eggs, oil, or water. The mixture will be very thick, so you might be tempted to add in other things to make the batter smoother. Do NOT do this!

Spray cookie sheet. Use a small cookie scoop (I use my small Pampered Chef cookie scoop) and place about 15 scoops evenly on pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

In my picture I used a white cake mix because I did not have a chocolate one and it turned out yummy as well! I know the chocolate tastes just as great too. Enjoy!

I'm going to call this the Chicken Spinach Flatbread Pizza. I don't know the name. My friend told me about this one time and then I started throwing stuff on it. I promise it's still just as healthy. WARNING: this has lots of flavor.

Ingredients:
1 Flat Out multi-grain flat bread.
1 can stewed tomatoes
a few shakes of Italian seasoning
1 tsp minced garlic
3 oz grilled chicken
handful of spinach
a few shakes of garlic salt
a small handful of mozz. cheese

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375

Sauce:
Drain the can of stewed tomatoes. Add Italian Seasoning and minced garlic to tomatoes. Chop up so mixture is still chunky.
When the oven is preheated, put flat bread on cookie sheet and place in oven until toasted flipping occasionally. Not too toasted that it's hard. (you will finish cooking it with everything else on it.)
Take flat bread out of the oven and spread some pizza sauce on it. Then place chicken and spinach. Sprinkle garlic salt on top then add mozz. cheese on top for a finishing touch.
Place back in oven for about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Cut in fourths and eat up! So good and healthy you'll want another one the next day and the next.

Let me know what you think. I just might keep posting new recipes on here that I think are worth trying. They are super easy and quick-just the way I like them.

Christmas Spirit

Christmas break went too fast. I'm already back at my apt laying on my new memory foam bed (thanks to the parents) and in the pajamas. Oh wait, I didn't get out of my PJs all day. Why if you have sore throat and a little cough? I had a great Christmas. It all started Tuesday morning when I stopped by Kendra's before going to work and Jackie was there! She surprised us all by coming home for Christmas. Best Christmas present ever.
We got home Wednesday night and the fun began. Mckenna slept with me in the movie room and woke up in the middle of the night with the croop. Poor girl, but somehow we still played in the snow. We ended up making 5 snowmen. I thought I had pictures of all of them. I guess not. Sad day, because the witch bride was the best.

Christmas Eve day we went to my Uncle's house where we got to eat and enjoy one another's company. We played family feud which was a lot of fun. Later that day, we got the snowmobiles out and took the kiddos out for a ride. They loved that! Too bad I forgot to take my camera once again. That night we got together as a family and read a few stories and the little ones opened their jammies. Then off to bed we went. Mckenna and I watched Elf until we fell asleep.

Mom Calls and tells us to wake up because we need to get started or it will take us all day. We all head down and the kids were going crazy. Halee loved her baby doll and knew it was just for her. She wouldn't let Mckenna have it. Jack got spoiled with a ton of Mega Bloks toys and trucks. He loved them so much. All Mckenna wanted was a tangled barbie doll and she got it. She played with that all day.

I was looking through my photos and I thought how fun it would be to show a time line of this past year in photos from my phone. I noticed I missed a few gaps of taking photos.

As I look back over this past year, I think it has been a pretty darn good one. Tough at times, but worth it. There were some sad times, hurtful times, crazy times, fun times, exciting times, and rough times. I will not take back any of those times. I have learned and grown from these times. It's what has made me who I am today. Here is to 2010. Bring on 2011!

My roomies and I have been doing a lot of this lately. Can't complain. Who wants to be outside where it's cold when you could be snuggled up in a blanket watching Christmas movies? I love every bit of it and I am glad they love it just as much. That's one of the many reasons why we are friends.

And for some really good news.... I am officially done with finals as of this morning! Now I can make gingerbread boys, watch more movies, go home for Christmas, and catch up on some things that have been at the bottom of my list this past... year. :)

First off today is my amazing mom's birthday! Happy Birthday Mom! I was lucky to go to dinner with her and most of the family last night.

Second of all: Bijou Market happened a couple weekends ago. If you didn't go, you sure missed out. I got the girls together to head down to have some fun. Just what I needed. Ann-Marie was smart enough to pull out her Flip video camera and show you a good time just in case you forgot to go. :) I had all intentions on making a video, but Ann-Marie beat me to it. It's totally worth sharing (thanks Ann-Marie). Oh and don't mind me in the video. It's just me being me.

Hello there! I hope everyone is having a fantastic Fall day because I think I am. So at work, we have started to do challenges once a week. We each take a turn and come up with one. This challenge was by the awesome Ann-Marie! We were to interpret this photo in anyway we liked.

About the photos: I rode bikes with some friends over to Balloon Fest bright and early the weekend of the 4th of July. We then biked over to Kneaders for their famous bottomless french toast.

Sorry I have not blogged for almost over a month. Sorry I have not paid attention to you. I'm still alive somehow. Life sure gets in the way. Fall break is almost here. That's one thing I need. I'm going to treat myself to a craft night with good friends, hopefully some pumpkin goods, and reading a Nicholas Sparks book. Yes you heard it. I am making time to read a book and I am glad to say that it helps me pause on the things that I have to do that stress me out. It feels good.

On a happy note: There is this blog that I have been following for awhile now and I can't get enough of how cute this little family is and what good they do. They are working on adopting a baby girl from Ethiopia, but they need our help. I think that if I can give them at least $10 to help bring this baby girl home, I have done good in the world. NOT only are they trying to raise money, they are giving away 5 different groups of bundles that are valued $300 and more! (I bet you can guess the one that I want to enter in) I hope you think about it, but remember the give-aways end Sunday night.

I have been racking up a few things that I want. I can't always get everything that I want so I will just have to stare at these images for awhile until I can have them.

I am currently in Photo 2 at school and carry my camera wherever I go. I still do not have a case for it. It has occurred to me multiple times that I need one. What a more stylin' way to carry a camera. It could also act as my purse. Man how I really want one of these. Just look how cute the inside is too!

Awhile back, my friend Mollie gave me this book called How to be an Explorer of the World by Keri Smith. I love how creative this lady is and her style. She has come out in the last year or so with these three books. I want all three and they happen to come in a box set! What a great way to show off your creativity!

Happy Labor Day! Since most of us have today off doesn't that mean rest from our labors? Not for me, I have a huge to-do list that consists of me catching up on homework, going out to lunch with some friends that I have promised, and hopefully putting everything together in my apt. It sure does make everything a bit nicer if everything was in order. I know that makes a big difference for me.
I apologize for not taking any photos recently. I don't know what my problem is. Well I best be gettin' ready for the day so I can begin my list of to-do's. I hope you're enjoying your holiday weekend.

I survived the move! So grateful my very good friend Chris was willing to help me. It made it go by a lot faster. So thank you, Chris. After unpacking all my stuff, my next thing is to decorate. Instead of just doing brown and orange like I have I want to add some color. I love this picture. I am definitely doing something like this in my room and I can't wait to get it done! (if you happen to come across any cool ways to decorate; send it my way)

Happy Friday everyone! You know how you just can't wait for the weekend to be here? Well I cannot wait for this one to be over. It's called moving weekend for me. I have a lot to move out of my apt still before I can start cleaning the place. It will be over shortly-I hope. On a happier note here is a layout that I made using American Crafts new lines: Dear Lizzy Enchanted and City Park. There are a few other lines of American Crafts that I used as well. Check out AC's website for the new releases!

(About the photo: Just recently we had the whole Hansen clan home for the weekend so we thought it was the perfect opportunity to take photos. Luckily we were able to use our backyard for the back drop. Unfortunately we weren't able to have a prof. photographer there with us so I ended taking the photos that I wasn't in. I am so glad to capture these three littles together. Oh how they love each other!)

Summer time is definitely Summer loving. I'm sad to say that it's almost over since they are pretty short around here, but I am also excited for change. A lot of changes will be happening my way in the next 2 weeks; moving, new roommates, and of course school starts. I am going to have to kick my butt into gear when all these things take place. I hope everyone is enjoying their last few weeks of Summer.

Beach Cruisers. 1. They make me so happy! 2. They ride so smoothly. 3. They're so cute to look at. 4. I can sit straight up while riding them! That's definitely a plus. 5. I can ride them with my mom. :)

One of my favorite things we did while we were in California. It was so fun to ride our bikes along the island of Coronado. I love how beach cruisers ride. Definitely my new love.

a great start to my summer already! Playing some sand volleyball, bike rides, BBQs, pool, and a lot more! My life is great right now! Just trying to live up the Summer while I can before I am stuck in school again. Everything is going great. I wish I had something cool to blog about.

Are you as surprised as I am that I posted pictures? Sorry they are all out of order, but hey they're posted. So Cali was a ton of fun, crazy but fun. I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted. Had to hold those babies while I could and I couldn't let them get the camera. :) So this is what I was able to get.

So I'm pretty sure I will never get to putting up pictures of my friend's wedding. Her photographer, Megan, is amazing! I think she summed the whole wedding up pretty well. So go here. Also, if you go a few posts earlier, she has some bridals and part 1 of the wedding. Megan is pretty much amazing.

Second off, I am excited to say that I get to spend all next week with my 2 sisters and my mom. I feel as if we have all been separated for a very long time now, but then again it feels as if it was yesterday when we were all together. Good thing for phones and skype for us to stay in touch. I'm excited for warmth, sunshine, beach, a good book, and family. How much better can it get? I am also really excited to take a lot of pictures of my nephew and nieces as well as my mom and sisters. I'm excited to capture these memories and have them forever.

I am about to tell you on one of the most amazing weekends I have ever had with her. She let me spend the most special day with her that she has ever had yet and I want to share that with you too. Chocolate Festival in Review

Here it is everyone! I know it's about time I put pictures up, right? I have been super busy this past week and when I have free time that's considered sleeping time unfortunately. Well the Chocolate Festival was a blast! Not much chocolate at the venders but there were the FAMOUS chocolate covered raspberries. 'nough said. Here are a few snapshots covering the majority of what we were selling. My sisters (and mom) sure did a wonderful job. The talented Ashlee blew me away! Her stuff was unbelievable! What a talented girl she is too. Oh and yes, we have adopted her. :)

Here we are! We were able to get a photo of the three of us together.

Here are Ashlee's outstanding flowers for your hair, purse, coat, or what other creative place you can think of to put them.

The cute skirts Ashlee sewed up for little girls. If you notice, they have cute clips that match the skirts.

The amazing brownie pops my dear mother made. yummm! I was lucky to have one or two... or maybe even three. I lost count.

I Heart Cupcakes

Yes I do, and since I do so much I made 3 batches last night. A total of 71 cupcakes. I brought them into work today because I love my co-workers and I know that they would appreciate them the most. 21 is a big year I would have to say. I thought instead of doing a list of things I want to do when I'm 21 I would tell you a little bit about who I am as I turn another year older.

I like to do these things most:
-do anything that's outside (in the summer that is)
-be with friends
-make things (ex. food and crafts)
-be with family
-shopping for anything that's cool

and these things the least:
-dishes
-homework

I wish I had these things less often:
-zits
-candy/sweets
-bad outfit award

and these things more:
-cute outfit award
-walks
-running
-write meaningful letters to loved ones

I see myself as:
-impatient
-uptight
-laughable a lot of the time
-goofy

How my mom sees me:
-creative
-bubbly
-spritual

How my dad sees me:
-spontaneous
-crafty
-intuitive

Things that I am looking forward to the most this year:
-SUMMER no question about that.
-My best friend's wedding
-My best friend who gets off his mission the end of July (yes I can have more than one best friend)
-getting to know myself with each day.
-Working on the development of the Three Sisters business with my sisters and my mom of course.

I told you I would have a sneak peak for you. You probably didn't think it was going to be this soon. Well neither did I. I am definitely in the bloggy blog mood. I think it's a stress reliever (since I am back in school now). I guess that's a good thing. I sure did have fun shopping for them, but I am kind of scared to use them. I'm a paper girl. I have become pretty good on the sewing machine when it comes to paper. I know that's not the main use for a sewing machine, but it's easier than sewing flimsy fabrics. That's when I lose my patience if things don't go right. I am just so drawn to the awesome patterns and colors on these fabrics so I could not help myself. Can anybody guess what I am going to do with these lovely fabrics? It's definitely not the usual.

Chocolate anyone?

I know I will want chocolate! It does not even matter if it's Valentine's weekend or not. If you want to have a little getaway just for the weekend, head to Bear Lake, UT and visit the chocolate festival. You can even drive up for the day. It will be totally worth it. There is more than just chocolate; there are going to be handmade things from so many talented people! I know some of the things that they will be selling, but that will be for another post. I will have sneak peaks to share with you soon so I hope you are getting excited! I am lucky to say that I will have the privilege to sell some of my handmade goodies too. If you have never been to Bear Lake in the winter, I think you should test it out because it is gorgeous in the winter as it is in the summer. I hope to see you there and make sure you say hi.

20 when 20

I kind of forgot about this list I made to do when I am 20. I was quite nervous to look at it to see if I even did most the things. I surprised myself and actually did more than I thought I did. So here it is.

1. Laugh a lot. I don't think I go a day without doing this.
2. Take a chance even if it doesn't come out successful. yes and it felt good.
3. Go on a trip out of state with friends. Did it! California

4. Feel more confident about myself. Still needs some work.
5. Eat healthier. Doing pretty good with this one since the beginning of this year. Does that count?
6. Make the best out of any bad situation. I think I'm pretty good at doing that at the most part.
7. Make some new friends, but keep the old too of course! a definite yes!
8. Take the time and read a few books. I figured out that I can't hold still long enough to read anymore.
9. Create for myself. YES
10. Turn more cants into cans. so so
11. Turn dreams into reality known as plans. I'm feeling this one.
12. Love and appreciate school. I tell this to myself EVERYDAY. AND it changes everyday too.
13. Learn a new hobby. Yes and LOVE it! -Book Binding is my new hobby!

14. Remind all the people I love how much I appreciate them in my life. Every time I do this one it sure makes me feel good inside.
15. Spend more time outdoors and enjoy it! For sure did this one as much as possible.
16. Help someone in need. Did it.
17. Remember "that Moment" and cherish it. I have some and I do cherish them every day.
18. Do something exotic, still trying to figure out what that might be. (my hair?) I forgot I wrote this one and I did do it. see?

19. RELAX and take time for myself and forget the world for a bit. Relax? What does that mean? I guess I did this over Christmas break.
20. Write thank you notes. Need to always be better at this one.

It's that time of year again where we all get busy with buying gifts for one another and sharing the light of Christ by giving service. We may all be over believing in Santa Claus, but do you know that you really should believe after reading this book? My parents told me many times "if you don't believe you don't receive." So one year they gave me this book for Christmas. It changed everything! I do believe and I do believe that you should buy this book and keep it in your home during the holiday season. You can buy it here. I hope this Holiday season is a happy time of the year for all of you. I wish you with good health and love at this time. Remember to smile and make someone's day. It's rewarding.

Gatherings, baking, family, and special moments.

How much better could it get? It couldn't. Thanksgiving break/time was the best one yet. First off, I want to say how fast this one went. Where did it go? I can't believe we are already a week into December. How time flies! For 18 years straight, I spent Thanksgiving with my Grandma, Aunt and Uncles, and cousins. Last year, my family decided to spend Thanksgiving at home instead of at Grandma Rob's. I have learned that there is no better Thanksgiving than going to Grandma Rob's. This sweet lady below is my dear, sweet Grandma that I adore so much!

I had the privilege of my Grandma Rob to teach me how to make cinnamon rolls from scratch. A moment I will cherish forever.

Sweet little Jack was blessed by his Father Thanksgiving weekend. He is the sweetest little baby I know! He is such a good baby! Thanks Kendra and Shean for giving me the cutest nephew.

And to finish off this post... my sweet baby Halee who is the happiest and most smiley baby I know! Doesn't this smile just make your heart melt like mine? It makes me want to just squeeze her and love her.

I love this age! Keep smiling so sweet, Halee. To top it all off, she wasn't feeling to swell either. That tells you what a happy baby she is.

to buy lots of scrappbooking supplies and gift wrap? I sure am! Today is friends and family day and we are all set for you to come and buy as much as you can. Here is my view of the warehouse. Alisha and I are lucky to have a window in our scrapbook room into the warehouse. I will know who is here and who isn't. I better see you today. You might just get lucky and see me down there.

The craziness is about to begin until the end of the month. It's going to get real loud up here for us hearing all the people shopping. Awww hear that quietness. It's not going to last long. See you there!

Spark! (finally right?)

Now you know why it has taken me so long to make this post. There are 38 photos to be exact in this post. I had to get them from two different cameras, do a little editing and organize them. This is a big deal. Okay here we go! This is Spark:

These next 8 pictures are from a few of the workshops we did on Friday.

This first picture we made those white silk flowers that you see in the photo.

Notice they are using American Crafts embossing heat gun known as Zap!. It's even pink for those of you who are in love with pink. It works wonders!

This scrap of ribbon and fabric was from when we made our fabric cuffs. Way too many possibilities.

Sassafras was there to demonstrate how to make a cute mini album.

Once again candy. Talk about too much sugar! BUT isn't it displayed so cute? I thought so.

In our photography workshop they handed out these cool lenses where we could focus through them. Love it!

I love the imperfections of photos like this one. It makes it unique and interesting to look at wouldn't you have to say?

Junior Week

It is Junior Week on American Crafts blog this week. I am proud to say that Richard and I worked on this line together and we conquered an amazing boy line for all those scrapbookers out there who can now scrap about their cute little boys. I am. For sure. If only I had all the time in the world to blog all the time like others, I would be there. Unfortunately I do not have as much time to do my own things that I want to do. I want to create on my own. I want to blog and tell you all my exciting news about my life. I. have. no. time. I'm barely focusing and putting effort into my school work. If only I had the time to do all the things that I want to do. They will just have to stay in my head for a long long time. I will be lucky if I can get my homemade gifts done for my family for Christmas. I just want you to know that I am not dead and that I have not forgotten about my blog. Be patient with me, please. One day this blog will be a ton better than it is now.

I am excited to tell you that I am attending the Spark! event a week from Friday. I found out today. I wasn't expecting it, but am very very excited to be involved with this event. Thanks again Alisha! I'm sad you won't be able to attend though. I will be meeting some very amazing ladies who will be sharing their talent to us. I will definitely have to show and tell you all the creative and amazing things that happen. I am so glad to be able to treat myself to some creativity and inspiration.

Yes, I am proud to say that I am a proud Aunt of 2 nieces and 1 nephew. I'm sorry if you don't want to see this many pictures of them, but I want to show them off. I've been having a lot of fun taking pictures of these kids today.

This is probably my favorite picture of these two girls. What a great weekend to come home and see the grandkids. I love them so much!

Most Recent Purchase

Meaning... most recent big purchase. I have been wanting a camera like this for a very long time now. I didn't want to rush into things or anything to find the right one, so I asked my good friend Mollie who is a professional photographer to keep her eye out on a good camera for me. I trusted her completely on picking the right camera for me. And she did just that! The sad part of this whole thing is I haven't even had a chance to really play with it. I took my friends out on a photoshoot the first weekend I got it to fiddle around with it. Now all I need is for Mollie to come and visit me and take me on a tour of my new Camera on how to make pictures more interesting by using it. One day, some day, I will be a good photographer. Almost as good as Mollie. :)

Make Over

I thought that I would finally post these before and after pictures of my friends Josh and Chase's apartment that I helped decorate in the middle of August. (yes it has been awhile and yes I had the pictures).

They gave me a budget of $200 to give their apartment an uplift. They told me they wanted to get some girls over to their apartment. I told them I would be more than happy to do it for them. So I brainstormed and came up with the idea of buying fabrics and making canvases out of them. My sister was kind enough to go with me to Ikea and buy fabrics, curtains, and a rug. It was a lot of fun picking out the fabrics. Chase built frames to staple the fabric on. We also went to Lowe's and bought the paint. It was a fun project! I hope I get another opportunity to do something like this again! I hope they don't get in trouble by management. :)

It sure is starting to feel.....

....like fall around here. Well more up north that is. It takes me 3 hours to drive home to be with my family, right? Not only is it 3 hours, but it's 3 hours by myself. So I have a lot of time to think by myself. The closer I got, the cooler the air was. What a great opportunity to drive with my window down. As I am driving down the canyon I spotted the lake and could tell a difference in it. It was telling me that it is fall. Yes, that's right, FALL. As many of you may know, fall is right around the corner and I can definitely feel it here in the valley. So I thought I would hurry and get a snap shot of this beautiful lake that I like to call home. I sure do miss this lake. I miss being able to see the different colors of the lake. I am definitely thinking about going on the waverunners one last time tomorrow. Since I did notice they were still in the water! Yipee!

Okay, enough with this fall stuff. I have a great announcement to make! I am proud to say I am an aunt for the second time! Yes, I know some of you have already heard this already, but have you seen pictures? I say not. I know many people say newborns are not that cute, but they are still so sweet and precious. Meet the newest member of our family! Halee! (I think that is how my sister ended up spelling it, but don't quote me) She is no more than a day old in these pictures. I cannot get enough of my sweet little niece. If you cannot tell, Mckenna ADORES her sister. When I first walked into the house, Mckenna comes running around the corner and says to me "Eese! I got my new baby sister!" She is so thrilled! Now it's not only Mckenna. :)

Hello fellow bloggers! Today is Friday, which means it's a weekend. Not only on top of that, but it's a 3 day weekend! Yay for Labor days! I am happy to say that my apartment and life is coming together slowly but surely. This weekend is going to be great! Meet new people, socialize, hopefully finish up the last bits of my apartment and on to bigger and better things in life!

A New Love

I think I found a new love for binding books! Remember when I posted how I wanted to learn how to do book binding around a month ago? Well I got my wish! My good friend/co-worker Paige happens to know how to book bind. Cool huh?! She decided to make a class out of it and make me super happy. This was a great learning experience. I just realized I didn't take a picture of the final project. So to look at it, check out Paige's blog.

Screen Printing

Last Friday my co-workers and I went to Ben's house to screen print t-shirts. We do a creative activity maybe once a month to change things up a bit. What a fun thing to do for sure! This was a fun one. They usually do this once a year around this time. This was my first time ever doing something like this. We were lucky enough to design our own t-shirt. This was such a hard decision to make -the design. I drew my design and here is the process:
